| Details: | My client one of UK's largest and most diverse multidisciplinary consultancies currently has a urgent position for a Senior Acoustic Consultants to be based in Cheshire and West Sussex. . My Client has expertise in building, environment and entertainment acoustics and vibration. They are now looking to expand their team of acousticians and are looking for enthusiastic acousticians preferably with skills in environmental and/or building design acoustics. The successful candidates will lead a growing team of committed and enthusiastic consultants, and become part of a large and expanding broad based engineering and environmental consultancy with offices throughout the UK. Their work covers the full range of acoustics, noise and vibration fields including building acoustics, environmental impact assessment, transportation projects, sound system design and commissioning and entertainment/concert sound. This includes to work on a number of large and exciting infrastructure projects in rail, road and aviation sectors. Requirements for the successful candidate> •Qualified to degree level or equivalent in acoustics or acoustics related discipline (e.g. physics. maths, environmental sciences or environmental health) •Considerable post graduate experience in environmental and/or building acoustics. •Previous experience as Project Manager, to include budgeting, submitting proposals to clients, programming and report writing. •The ability to use and instruct others in the use of sound and vibration meters. •The ability to nurture and develop the technical capabilities of a team through affective management. •Successful candidates will have senior level experience gained in an acoustics consultancy and a proven track record in effective project and financial management. •Full driving license. •Good IT and organisation skills are essential. •Experience of using IMMI noise mapping software is an advantage. Responsibilities as a Senior Acoustic Consultant include> •Providing technical lead to help develop less experienced consultants, providing support and advice as needed. •Overall Project Management responsibilities for project size ranging from £10k to £100k in building or infrastructure type projects. •Develop the business, negotiating with clients and contractors in order to develop existing relationships and to forge new business relationships in order to develop the acoustics sector within the business. •Managing project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines •Responding to enquiries, communicating with clients to establish their needs and drafting fee proposals. The successful candidate will relish the opportunity and challenge of being part of a growing team who are closely assisting in the delivery of some of the most prestigious rail and infrastructure projects over the next five to ten years. With a high level of communication / interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, communicate and negotiate effectively with employees, internal and external clients.
